In a previous role, there was a high turnover in my team, and as a result, it was hard implementing new policies. The new staff members would quit before getting assimilated into the company operations. This had a huge effect on the security operations in the organization. We ended up having to postpone training programs as a result. Eventually, we started implementing the training programs and realized that the turnover in the team started reducing. We then realized that this could assist the company in retaining more staff, and therefore we worked at ensuring that the training program was running throughout and that staff was aware of what will be done next.

I ensure frequent training is done for my security team to keep abreast of the compliance issues. I also demonstrate by leading by example on matters of compliance.
