This is my first try at line leadership. We had to retrace our steps and ended up spending more time than required. I later decided to implore my company to conduct quality assurance at every production stage to prevent such occurrences. It wasn’t all rosy at the start since we used up most of our savings. However, we kept going and, by the second year, got ten sponsors who provided 100% of the funding. I understand that part of my job involves inventory control, and as such, I need to know how to keep records properly. I have performed many administrative tasks in my career and was, at one point an inventory manager at a local production firm. I know that employee disputes can be expected when people work together in team settings. However, as a prevention mechanism, I always ensure that I only have people with the right personality fit in my team when creating one. If a dispute occurs, I will step in and find out the root cause of the matter before directing the employees to solve the issue or act as a mediator. However, I have also been forced to take steen actions in the past for prolonged disputes.

Employee underperformance in the workplace is a serious issue, and so is knowing how to deal with it. I usually prefer to coach such employees since people have different reasons for underperforming. I may also realign an employee’s workload depending on the reason for underperformance. I have never dealt with an employee who continues to underperform even after such efforts. I would therefore appreciate an employee coming forward with a suggestion they believe is likely to improve a process.
