I have been in this organization for the last seven years and have occupied different positions, including managerial ones. I understand most of our departments and processes since I have also worked closely with top executives in some of these positions. I have managed to achieve quite a lot in my professional and personal life, which I am grateful for. However, my most significant achievement was finishing my Doctorate and graduating three years ago while working full-time as the head of the sales department. I would leave the office at six and head to college for my evening classes, getting home past 9. After three years of intensive work and reading, I am glad that I managed to graduate. I even got a promotion shortly afterward.

I understand the importance of proper organization and prioritization of work, especially in such a position. I usually have a planner to list all the pending and scheduled tasks. I then array get them in the order of their urgency, beginning with the most pressing to the least urgent. I have been using the aforementioned technique for the last five years, and I am happy with the results. I also incorporate technology when organizing work by using several organization software to make work easier and increase accuracy.
14. Have You Ever Planned Or Controlled A Project’s Budget?
Yes. One of my roles in the organization is budget management, which I have always done to the best of my ability. I always ensure that everyone is aware of the budget allocated for a given project and that high levels of transparency are maintained throughout the project. I have had the chance to lead several projects and manage other employees, which I don’t usually take lightly. I prefer a management style where everyone is involved. I always encourage my team members and subordinates to speak up, suggesting some of the best courses of action and remedies. However, to be a success, I first create an environment where they don’t feel judged or looked down upon. I am glad that I have managed to inspire several people through my management style.

I understand all my roles in the workplace and strive to deliver to the best of my ability. However, if I noticed that one of the departments was performing poorly, I’d arrange a meeting with the departmental head and get to the root cause of the underperformance. Most of the time, departments don’t perform well due to budgetary constraints and decreased team engagement. Depending on the issue, I will lobby with the CEO and other executives to rectify the situation and monitor the department to ensure performance.

I usually prefer to minimize the chances of stress by adequately organizing and prioritizing my tasks. However, I also understand that that may not be enough at times. Therefore, whenever I am stressed about work, I take a few minutes to breathe and compose myself before tackling all the tasks with a clear mind. I have dealt with different CEOs, given that my job requires that I directly report to them. However, I enjoy working with Chief Executive Officers that love teamwork and do not view me as their subordinate. As someone who greatly believes in collaboration, I find CEOs who promote teamwork amazing. I also love CEOs who are always available and keep you on your toes. I am glad that I have had a good experience this far.

I understand that one of my roles is managing business negotiations, which I often do to my ability. However, I usually conduct proper research on the contracting party ahead of the negotiation and ensure that the business profits. I also confirm that the deal will help us achieve our business goals.

Working as a chief administrative officer allows me to interact with different people and build proper relationships. I am also actively involved in ensuring that the business stays profitable and open by abiding by all regulations and industry rules, which gives me much joy.
