A complete routine vehicle checkup is necessary for a car to work in excellent condition. When a customer brings in a car for a routine checkup, I inspect the air filter, oil and coolant levels, windshield, and tires.

Belts and hoses are also important, so I make sure to check them periodically to prevent issues in the future. Even small holes, cracks, or anything can be damaging. If I found them, I immediately replace them. 

Many often, I also look at vehicle batteries and the cables that are connected to them. I check for any corrosion or if the cables aren’t starting to come loose.

Whenever I encounter a customer with a vehicle issue, I explain how important preventive care is. By communicating the benefits and reasons why it should be a priority, I try to build long-term relationships with my customers. 

20. How About Buying A Used Car? What Are The Things You Are Going To Look For?

When buying a used car, I would check a few important things, such as opening the hood to check for any burning smell, oil sludge, belts and hoses, alternator, or any leakage underneath the car. My investigation would also be around the tires, steering wheels, radiator cap, and any liking for coolant in the radiator. 

21. How Would You Handle Clients And Repair On Busy Days?

On extremely busy days or peak business times, I would make sure to be extra productive and mindful. I would serve the customers on a first come, first basis and give my 100% attention so that they can feel their time is valued and their concerns are resolved. I would go above and beyond to provide great customer service and ensure to complete the repair is efficiently and accurate.

Safety precautions are our major concern when dealing with vehicle repair. I know that my job exposes me to chemicals, explosive items, gasoline exhausts, and hot surfaces therefore I take extra care and use protective equipment such as gloves, face masks, and goggles for each task. I also make sure to make my workspace clutter-free.
