There is a time, a client asked me to go and work on his lawn. The timeframe was very small and I didn’t have the required machinery to perform the role. After giving it a thought, I found that the task would have put me under high pressure. I decided to let the opportunity pass me. The same client went and offered the opportunity to my colleague and friend. That friend saw that the timeframe was unrealistic but accepted the offer anyway. He then called the client and explained that he could do the job which but bring about poor results. However, if only he give him an extension of a week, then, he would produce high-quality results. The client having heard both sides of the story decided to add my friend for one more week. The friend performed very well and was paid very well including being given some tips. This situation taught me to work on my communication and interpersonal skills. These skills help me to relate well with my customers.

13. How Do You Maintain Xeriscape Landscapes?

Xeriscaping uses very little grass and sometimes the grass is not required. Xeriscaping requires very little mowing. However, it requires maintenance including weeding, watering, and pruning. It is easy to maintain a xeriscape landscape since it does not demand the use of fertilizer. To keep it from weeds, I will roll weed cloth on the soil before I put the xeriscape. I will then cut holes in that cloth for planting and add mulching to limit the growth of weeds.
