To me, failure is when you give up without trying everything you reasonably can. I learned that if something feels too big, one should never ignore it and try to break it down or reach out for help. Once while in charge of a team that was tasked with creating a new marketing campaign for our company. As the first step toward a full-on re-branding effort, so we were hoping it would make a big splash on social media. But I did not understand the importance of testing and iterating until it was too late. The first round of testing was disappointing; the clients we showed it to do not even know what to make of it. We ended up scrapping the whole thing and starting from scratch. But when we did start from scratch, we hit gold. We created something that people loved, and the new campaign took off like wildfire. It was an amazing experience that helped me gain some valuable experience.

I worked in a DSW before and was the store manager. There was a team of people who did everything from working in the store to making deliveries. I have also spent a lot of time reading other people’s content on social media, to learn what they are doing well and what they are doing poorly. It is easy to get caught up in all the noise, but it is necessary to identify the things that are working for someone else and apply them to your brand.
11. What Do You Love Most About Designing Shoes?
I love designing shoes because to get to create something that fits your body and makes you feel good is amazing. My interest in fashion designing started at a young age, but it was not until working in the shoe industry that I realized how much more there was to it than just making shoes. It became apparent that the process of creating a shoe is a lot like the process of designing any other type of garment. There are so many different elements that need to be thought through and taken care of before the final product is ready for sale. Providing people with something that meets their needs makes me happy. It also motivates me to excel more at work by helping customers and solving whatever problems they may need help with.

I started after getting my bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland. After that experience, I got an opportunity to start working in a store as a manager for full-time attending customers.

With my very active personality, my preference is to have shoes that can be worn all day and still feel good about them. I like those shoes that look good and feel good on my feet. Another necessary thing to look for in a shoe is comfort and stability as we want to feel safe and secure while wearing it. My choice of shoes is those that have different colors, patterns, or textures that add interest but do not distract from my outfit. Finally, I like to find shoes that have some lift so that my foot does not get tired after walking for a long time. It is especially essential as walking long distances is something which I do quite often to stay fit and healthy. Comfortable shoes become very important while going out for a walk or a run.
