So we opted to forego that decision and found a more appropriate solution to our current challenges.

First, I always strive to understand the genesis of a problem and how it came about. From there, I analyzed each step to see if I had missed doing something that led to the current crisis. In an earlier role, my manager asked for my opinion on implementing new software. I studied the pros and cons of the software’s effectiveness on our business processes. I then consulted the finance department about the budget to ensure we could afford it without straining our existing budget.
